In August 2008 Wrapit, an online wedding gift company, went into administration owing £7m. Two thousand couples, who held wedding lists with the company lost many if not all of their wedding presents purchased online by friends and family.
72,000 guests who were in the process of buying wedding presents were let down

The former managing director of Wrapit was Peter Gelardi.

Please&thankyou (pleaseandthankyou.co.uk), which has now been set up, sells products for the home and garden. Nicholas Gelardi, who, according to newspaper reports ran Wrapit along with his father, is director and company secretary of pleaseandthankyou Ltd. Peter Gelardi is also reported to be working on the new site in an advisory role

The new firm is operating from Wrapit's former offices in Delta Park, Wandsworth, South London.

Besides Nicholas Gelardi, Please&Thankyou is reported to being run by three other former WrapIt employees and it was formed under the directorship of Amroth Ltd, a company of which Peter Gelardi is a director.

Co founder of Wrapit Pepita Diamand, when asked about the new company is quoted as saying " “I’m sorry for customers who were affected and I well understand that the re-emergence of the company leaves them with a sour taste in their mouths.” She said: “I was invited to participate in the new business and flatly refused.”

When interviewed about Wrapit by Phil Williams on BBC Radio 5 live the question which was never satisfactorily answered was"Explain how you managed to go bust when you're getting money in, well in advance of having to spend it?"
