NEWS - last update 8/06/09 - see the foot of this page Although much of this web site will remain static I will attempt to point out changes / provide latest news here - so please continue to check this page..... It's amazing how much can happen in a very short time...... On the 23rd March 2009, my daughter, Fiona Robertson, received a call from Channel 4 news telling about the creation of Pleaseandthankyou.co.uk and asking her how she felt about it Within 1 hour I was lucky enough to have secured the domain name www.Pleaseandthankyou.org.uk and set up a one page warning about the background to the new venture. The only hits seemed to be from me checking out the site Since it was set up, this website has had thousands of hits, and awareness continues to grow. Pleaseandthankyou and "pleaseandthankyou" entered as searches are starting to register particularly when searching on pages from the UK If you were affected by the demise of Wrapit please make others aware by pointing them to the site. Email the link to friends and families. On Facebook invite your friends to visit the site and to make others aware. If you are sympathetic to the cause please help raise awareness On the morning of Tuesday 31st March 2009, Peter Gelardi was asked a number of awkward questions on BBC Radio 5 live by Phil Williams, Fiona Robertson, Camilla Gray, Jeremy from Worcestershire and Dave (Please email me your names if you're happy to do so). Sadly, the replay of the program on iplayer is now deleted but if anyone has a requirement to hear it please contact FOTB@pleaseandthankyou.org.uk A write up of the story is available o the BBC website - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7974200.stm Of course Peter Gelardi and a few of the Wrapit former employees are entitled to set up a new company But we believe that members of the public and prospective customers are entitled to know the background to the company 7/4/09 Based on recent developments, which I am not at liberty to divulge, I am seeking information about the "cutting and pasting" of Wrapit copy (Cut and Paste gate), to which Peter Gelardi held up his hands and admitted to on BBC Radio 5 live last Tuesday. If any ex-employees of the Wrapit have information related to this, I would ask them to set up a new anonymous email address on Hotmail or Gmail and contact me FOTB@pleaseandthankyou.org.uk Contact would remain anonymous 8/4/09 I would appreciate it if anyone has any legal contacts, who would be prepared to comments on the legality of copying and pasting information from the website of a company in administration and using on the website of a new venture. Information relating to this irregularity has been passed to KPMG the administrators. Please contact me if you have any information 11/04/09 Search engine results. www.pleaseandthankyou.org.uk has started to achieve good results in the search engines. Try searching for pleaseandthankyou or "please&thankyou" (in quotes) to Google, Yahoo or Alta Vista and see what results you get 16/04/09 Nothing back yet from KPMG about the cutting and pasting - Sending another email today to see if there is any news 27/04/09 Anyone who has information relating to cutting and pasting please contact Fiona or myself 14/05/09 Just to repeat that if anyone has information relating to the cutting and pasting of information between the former Wrapit site and Please and thankyou please get in touch 24/05/09 Pepita Diamand's side of the story and announcement of new company please click here 8/06/09 I've had the following letter - I'm a journalist for The Times. I'm trying to put together a story about how credit card lenders and using dodgy tactics to try and wriggle out of making repayments when say a company like Wrapit goes bust. Under the consumer credit act lenders should repay you if goods are not received and their cash price is more than £100. If anyone can assist with this would they please contact me and I'll forward the information to the Times PLEASE COME BACK AND CHECK OUT THE SITE
